Dear custom tuners,
If you can make the 55 MPH shudder go away you will get my money.

OK, can someone please explain to me the difference between a "custom tune" and something you'd get with a superchip or similar tuner? Is it the difference between octane ratings and/or towing versus performance tunes, etc...? Would the 5-Star be considered a custom tune?? Thanks!

+1 I'd love to hear the difference too. Never dealt with tunes before so going to learn all I can before I even think about it.

If the shudder is caused by weak Torque Converter clamping force...there are really only two ways to "fix" it. One way is not to my liking...Detune the Ecoboost so that it does not have the power to cause TC shudder at low rpms/high torque...this would most likely be a TSB Flash.

The other way that is to my liking would be an improved TC with stronger clamping force at these lower rpms/higher torque ranges. To improve mileage, you could "tune" the TCM to lock the TC up at lower RPMs and reduce slipping (and heat)...but only with a beefier TC

Does the 11 sec 5.0 have an upgraded tq converter. If not then I doubt clamping force of the TC is causing the shutter. That sprayed 5.0 is putting alot more down at all rpms than a stock EB. If his isn't slipping then why should stock?

Default power adders

Are these numbers on a stock truck with tune or does it include exhaust and cai??

You should add up the DiabloSport T-1000 to the list.

Also add a link to each of the tuners/custom tunes to help us out also.

The kem is going to be awsome.I talked to mike about the kem and he said it is a blast to drive around on the 87oc tune.Theye are a 1,000 bucks but thats what you pay for a custom badass tune.Cant waite to see the 93oc tune dyno result, he said probably 75 to 80 hp gain.
