Anybody know which of the tuners, factory or otherwise, will increase economy the most? I drive a LOT which is one reason I bought the EB, but my mpg hasn't been nearly what they "promised"...

I can't speak for other tuners, but the I was looking for mileage as well. The Superchips mileage tune is awesome so far and, unlike some, I have absolutely no complaints about my superchips experience. My daily driver is consistently netting me 2.1mpg better on every tank.

Guys,
Check this one out. Fast lane Turbo has a plug and play module that they claim doesn't leave any trace of being tuned (assuming you take it out before you take your truck to the dealer). It appears install is about 5 min, removal is about the same. It doesn't tune throught the OBDII plug, so no trace of it left behind.

Sounds promising to me, wondered if anyone here has one yet.

AFE came out with a Superchips based tuner, but it has custom intake/exhaust settings on it.

At first glance maybe. But some companies embellish their numbers. The real story is revealed when the tuners are compared on the same dyno using the same methodology. Disclaimer, the info I was given is from one single source, Fast Lane Turbo. But they told me their tuner produced an additional
40 hp while the bullydog they tested produced only an additional 20 hp. The most appealing thing to me is that the tune cannot be detected by a dealership (assuming you remove it when you take it in for service)

I'm just posting to provoke some thought and discussion.

@bcar... I was told its an engine tune only. No trans, no tire size/speedo adjust, and no reprograms. But again, I think I could live without that for a completely undetectable tuner.

silly question...couldn't you just return your superchips (or whatever) tune to stock before you go to the dealer and then back to the tune after you pick your truck up?
