Default is this normal???

So in my truck when im just accelerating steadily, when it shifts into third and hits about 2000 rpm it bogs down to about 1600 and then starts moving up again. Sorry if thats not a good description but i tried to post a video of it and im not smart enough to figure it out. Im just wondering if this is normal or do i need to go get the transmission reprogrammed at the dealer, my truck has 3000 miled on it.

it happens at about 8 seconds in the video it almost feels like its shifting but the indicator still says its in third. Im not lifting off the gas this is just a steady push on the accelerator

From your description, it sounds normal. If there was not a drop in RPM's by the time the truck hit 4th it would be rapped out.

I think the better question here is, why don't you think it's normal?

So the truck shifts into 3rd starts to climb in rpm then drops a little then starts climbing again?

Yes that's right it starts climbing in 3rd until about 2000 rpm then dips down to about 1700 while staying consistent on the throttle then starts rising again
