You can find out by plugging into your PC and running the update pgm.

800 miles with the 91 tow tune and the increased performance was noticeable. Without towing the performance was awesome. However I barely made 10.5 mpg so it came at a cost and increased turbo sound. So I have switched to the 89 tow tune for the trip home and will probably stick with that for the summer.
Edit: I had head winds both down to VA and even worse coming back so only got 10.1 on the return trip using the 89 tow tune with premium. So I don't know if the 10.5 with the 91 tow tune was a fair measurement. It is still fair to say the 91 tow tune has more low-end though. Really fun to drive when not towing and a power house while towing.

I will probably use the 89 performance tune when not towing as premium is often a .40/gallon premium here.
The 87 tow tune is a good all around tune if you don't want to be bothered switching them and want to keep fuel costs low. When not towing, I have found no difference in fuel mileage between 87 and premium.

I run 91 performance all the time. Unless I tow then I run 87 tow. But here is why I run 91 performance.

I agree with you hear. I called this morning and spoke to Anthony. He was very helpful and gave me instructions to retrieve the new codes from the tuner so they can send me the update. Not sure of everyone else's situation, but I believe this issue was caused because I bought my truck new in Feb 2013 and my truck is a 2012 (last one on the lot). Most likely since my truck stayed at the dealership for so long the computer was updated therefore requiring an updated tune. This issue should be resolved Monday hopefully, and all will be good. We'll see.

I got my tuner yesterday from Livernois, and all I can say is Holy S***!!! The acceleration is so intense! My only concern is my truck only has 1, 000 miles on it and I'm afraid i won't be able to keep my foot out of it and end up breaking something, or damage the motor. I hope these engine's are tough enough to handle these tunes and my heavy foot for years to come.

Well you are doing the right thing to break in an engine. Hammer down and cruise

Default Speedometer Recalibration

Am I correct that my Livernois tuner will allow me to recalibrate my speedometer after installing bigger tires?

Can someone give me the basic instructions for doing so? I have only used mine to upload tunes.

Thanks!

I think you need to call Livernois and have them e-mail you tye file. When I bought mine Thursday they asked me if I got bigger tires.

I must say I'm a little unhappy with Livernois. I received my tuner last Friday and it required an update. I couldn't call Friday night because they were already closed due to the time change. I called early Sat morning an sent them the updated codes for the tuner. I called them yesterday afternoon to get an update and was told they are processing it along with others that need updates. Today I still haven't received an update and have a 600 dollar paper weight. I figured I'd give them to the end of today before calling again and am contemplating returning it for my money back. I don't think I'm being too unreasonable, but perhaps after reading how great this thing is has made me a little impatient. I hope it works out and is worth it in the end.

I'd probably be impatient too if I had the programmer sitting in front of me and couldn't use it. There are alot of options out there now which makes going with livernois a tougher choice. Their tuner still holds many of the top spots on the 1/4 mile list. I want this new 93 race tune that was mentioned.
