On another note, livernois threads have vanished from the board. I guess sct is the new thing. I would like to know how certain tuners are getting more hp/tq than livernois while still claiming towing capability. Livernois has been THE ecoboost tuner for a while. Are the tuners that are leading the numbers game tuning on the edge of safety?

It's only a matter of time before some purchases multiple tunes from several vendors and then does back to back tests at the strip to see who is top dog...at least in the 1/4.
I was referring to stage 2 from AFE. I never knocked the Stage 1 and never argued with you. I had the stage 2 so I stated my opinion on that one. The stage 1 might indeed be a good intake, I never said it wasn't. AFE as a company just was ridiculous to deal with and I'm done with them. That is why I can't support their products and will not buy any in the future.

And yes everyone is jumping on The SCT train but from what I have read the hardware and programming still has a lot of bugs to work out. And SCT's preloaded tunes have not had rave reviews. 5 Stars tunes are sounding positive though and because he uses SCT platform he will sell many. As for me I am just as happy with the MyCal device. Suits my needs

1/4 times aren't the only thing to care about. Drive-ability, engine safety, fuel mileage, and towing are all concerns. When the tunes started becoming available, I noticed the first ones out got rave reviews followed shortly by complaints. At this stage, Livernois and 5-Star are the only tunes I would consider and I already have my Livernois tow tune. The 5-Star intrigues me with towing in all tunes, but it wasn't available when I purchased and I am still very comfortable and happy with the LMS tow tune.

1. Are you able to store the tunes Livernois gives you in your computer to load at anytime like the SCT custom tunes or do you have to email LMS for them to send another tune every time you want to change the tune that is on your tuner? I am kinda confused on how that works so if you can explain in more detail on how it works then that would be great.

2. What is the towing weight limit on the 87/93 performance tunes? I know that Superchips was 3,000 when I had it, but I am not sure about the Livernois.

3. Does the tuner you get from LMS allow you to store another tuning companies tune in the device like the SCT or is it strictly LMS tunes?

4. Can you tell Livernois to customize the tune for you like adjusting shift points, more psi from the turbos, and such like the other custom tuners allow or is it as is with no customization?

Thanks in advance for the quick response.
You've said you driven lms tuner before,

After driving the Superships, SCT, Livernois, and 5 Star I can honestly say the one thing that dramatically sets them apart is their shifting, when and how they lock up the torque converter, and how well they configured the drive by wire system for better throttle response. Those are things that hp and torque numbers won't tell you, and will matter the most the 99.9% of the time you are not at the track.

And have enough input to dog them but now you don't have simple answers to these questions? Interesting....

Who you trying to fool Al? You more than know all the answers to these questions very well. Instigating is all you are doing. You followed the other Livernois thread for a long time and you and I had some differences of opinion as well as you and plenty of others. So since you already know all the answers to your own questions above you are obviously attempting to deter people from buying this tune again! Don't anyone believe otherwise. He is stirring the pot.

I never said I owned the Livernois before, a friend of mine did as I have said in everyone of my comparison posts. I would call and ask him but he is on an offshore oil rig ATM, and is stuck their for another 2 months.

Off shore oil rig huh? Sooooo full of crap Al. Do I need to cut and paste all of your posts over the months on the Livernois tuner. We can all click in your profile and see all of your posts in all of your threads. Grow up and move on to something productive for once!

Actually, I don't know for sure about question 1. I think you have to e-mail to change it every time, but not sure. Question two, I think it is 3,000 like the SC, but not sure. I think the answer to question 4 and 5 is no, but again I am unsure. That is why I asked because I did not want to give the guy wrong answers or assumptions. I guess I will just tell him to call Rick or PM one of you guys. Sheesh!
