Guys,
Here is an example of why we choose not to rush this type of aggressive calibration out to the public with out taking the proper steps to ensure safety and reliability on our own vehicles. And also why we do not use customers vehicles to beta test until we are 100% sure of this. We are rebuilding several engines from different shops (No, we can't disclose who they are. And, we will not, to prevent a flame on any other shop.) across the country at the present time. A couple of these engines made over 450 WHP. One of the engines has no signs of detonation (rings, bearings and top of piston) and has a broken rod which in our opinion shows the power limit of the parts. Is it exact? No. But it's a great indication. When we see signs of melted pistons and heavy detonation (stuck rings, clear signs of detonation on top of piston) then the power limit doesn't come in to play. But the pics of the piston / rod we showed were a power limit problem.

Everyone was asking about a time frame, an update, or something. Not a few pictures of a blown engine. So what does the blown engine have to do with the price of eggs in China? No telling how many 10's of thousands of EcoBoost tunes across the market and there are a few that popped. I would chalk that up as normal. Ford had more than that blow with the stock tune lol. I doubted myself for moving on but I'm glad I did now. Yall had the best tunes on the market and have some unhappy customers now, just read this thread. I still think that everything fell apart when Rick left. I hope he wasn't the only person holding it together because Livernois has a great reputation. I hope ya'll can rebound from this and pick it back up. Good luck

Did you read the words posted above the pics? I thought it was pretty clear that they aren't releasing updated tunes until they are convinced that they are safe...in order to prevent incidents like in the pics.
I'm also a little confused as to why people want updated tunes. If I could have stuck with the original 93 perf tune, I would have (sadly I moved to an area with no 93 fuel). I want a perf tune that I can plug in and forget...until I need to tow something anyway.
And no, I'm not butt hugging Livernois here. I'm actually emailing back and forth with them about some issues with the latest 91 perf tune, after changing spark plugs. So far I'm still happy with their customer service.

I figure this, maybe livernois popped a few engines trying to fill our demand for "max" performance tunes.....maybe they didn't, who knows, who cares....all I'm saying is, I. Hope it was them...I mean, we all ask for it, gimme the best performance without sacrificing parts, and maybe they've found that limit and are able to build that safe tune.......I'm waiting patiently too

Since I figured out the issue I feel the need to explain that it had nothing to do with the tune. While changing my spark plugs I somehow broke a small plasitc T-fitting that connected a vacuum tube to some sort of module. Apparently this is a really important piece of plastic, because I basically had no turbo power with it disconnected.
