New Official Livernois Ecoboost Thread

I think Ford has taken the same path that they (Chev, Dodge, Ford) take for diesels and that is to leave enough on the table to leap frog the competitions numbers. The Ecoboost has no competitor yet, but if one appears, Ford can tweak the stock tune and have bigger numbers. My feeling is that they ought to tweak it just to make their customers a little happier with the way it drives. The right tune gets rid of the things we don't like about the Ecoboost.

Welp the day is here for the last evening of Test-n-Tune at Heartland Park Topeka. Guess I will just have to run what I have.
I know the xv1 tune would be fine in my truck cause it already meets LMS pre requisites. Plus I am running E30 fuel too.
I am totally awe struck at how long its been since announced and still nothing. Guess no one will know now until next spring if its released by then. Bummer...I think these Toyo tires may hurt my time. Be nice to have some stock 18" wheel/tires for such an occasion!!!

I've had my 2012 tuned for about 7 months now, and have zero complaints with LMS. That been said, I don't take mine to the track it's a daily driver but I do tend to have a heavy foot so I love the 93 tune. I also pull a 7500 lbs camper and with the tow tune, the truck pulls like it's not even back there. I do have several other mods, but LMS is defiantly the way to go in my opinion. And the guys there have always been great to work with.

I'm new to the forum but have spent countless hours on this and other related threads. Finally pulled the trigger on a 2013 FX4 Ecoboost SCREW and am very interested in the LMS tuner. I've emailed Anthony at LMS several times, and have to say I have been very impressed with his feedback. Although I am not yet a customer, I have never waited more than 24 hours for a response. That being said, I am still curious about a few things. I apologize if these issues have been addressed in this or other threads, but just had a few questions before making the purchase:
- Has anyone had any significant mechanical issues directly related to the LMS tune?
- Has anyone had any warranty work refused by Ford due to the LMS tune being installed?
- Is anyone extremely dissatisfied with LMS or their tunes (I'm not talking about not being able to replicate 1/4 mile times or trap speeds. My goal is to simply improve daily performance, throttle response, etc. I'm not concerned with absolute values of HP, torque or 1/4 mile times, and won't be going to the track...I also realize there are other tuners on the market, but have made the decision that if I do tune, it will be with LMS)
One final question - with all of the research and all of the money that Ford, Chevy and Dodge spend marketing "best in class" HP and torque numbers, why has Ford seemingly left so much on the table with this engine? If a simple tune can add so much to HP, torque and driveability, why aren't these engines configured differently? I realize they need to "appeal to the masses", but what truck buyer wouldn't want more HP and torque??
Appreciate any help and feedback, and apologize if this isn't the appropriate thread or format for these questions...
Thanks.

Been running my 93 V2 tune for a year about 8000 miles. I absolutley love it !!!!!!!!!!!! This is how ford should have released the Eco but since they didn't thankfully Livernois took car of us !!!!!!!!!! Only issues you'll see is "excessive rear tire wear", and your wife may yell " you're going to get a ticket" once in awhile!!!!!!!!!! Cant go wrong with Livernois !!!!!!!! I enquired about the 93 V10 tunes and had a response within a few hours, great customer service too !!!!!!!!!

Hey all, how does a person go about updating their tune from a V2 to a V10? I've had mine for about 9 months now and have heard about V10 but haven't been around to upgrade it yet

At this point I also question the tune as well. I've been to the track multiple times with the exact same setup as their shop truck and don't even come close to getting into the low 13's. I know I'm not launching the truck the best I could with a 1.8 60ft time but The truck can only take so much power breaking in 4x4.
I really wish I could get even close to their tune times but just doesn't seem to be the cause. Am I driving my truck wrong or you you guys simply running a different tune because it is your shop truck because you don't care if it blows?
