Is it ok to drive it all the time in the tow setting?
Absolutely. I kept wanting to burn out from stoplights with the 91 tow tune and went back to 89 for my own safety.
The tow tune is just a slightly de-tuned performance tune with safety factors built in to prevent cat melt down, etc under constant heavy load and many use the tow tunes as their daily driver to keep from switching.

Well I ended up getting my updated tune last night. I followed the directions and uploaded the tune to the truck and everything is fine. I guess I was just a little impatient, but I'm glad I waited. Installed the 87 tow tune and it FREAKING ROCKS! Haven't had a chance to play with the other tunes yet but I'm sure they are awesome. I'm glad I took a breather and just waited for LMS to catch up before calling and getting bent out of shape because I would have missed out. It was hard though having the tuner just sitting on the counter and not being able to use it.

You have to take a deep breathe sometimes. I have seen some company's take up to 3 months to get back with individuals. A little bit of patience goes a long way. But I would have reacted the same way also because I don't have any patience either. Lol Enjoy the tuner!

Ok I have driven about 25 miles on the 91 tow tune, and got in my truck after work and I have a check engine light. The dtc is P050E. I cleared it with the tuner but the light didn't go off. Not good. I guess I'll return it to stock and see what happens. It did fine in 91 perf.

I'm very happy with the customer service from LMS. I was just notified that I would be moving across the country a little sooner than originally planned (military). And LMS hooked me up with a tow tune very quickly. I'm as happy with their customer service as I am with their tunes.

I had the same problem with 91 tow. Send an email to LMS and they will send you an update to fix the problem

I'm gonna have to return my truck to stock, because with the 91perf tune I just cant keep my foor out of it! .It just wants to go!! I'm gonna end up breaking something.

How many of you beat on your tuned Eco's a lot? I just want to get a feel of how tough these engines are. The SHO/Flex seem to be holding up good.

I did notice with the tune it changed my shift points at WOT from about 5,500rpm's to 6,000rpm's.

I beat the living hell out of mine. If it blows. Trade it in for something else.
