Another question, I only tow about 3000lbs most of the time. I that enough weight to use a tow tune? Is there any advantage to running 94 octane over 93 while using the 93 tunes ? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help out!

You can run a tow tune without towing or hauling anything so I'm sure it's safe. I've personally never had an issue running a tow tune daily.

As far as running 94 with one of the 93 tunes in I'm not sure. I don't see 1 octane rating higher hurting anything but that may not be the case. I know towing on one of the performance tunes may melt the cats though. Shoot Rick an email he will be able to more accurately answer ya.

You won't have any issue. You can have a tank of 93 octane and run the 87 tune if you want.

You can run a lower octane tune with any fuel equal to or higher than that octane, but you should never run fuel that is a lower octane than the tune. 87 tunes can run 87 and up, 89 tune can run 89 and up, 93 tune HAS to run a minimum of 93 octane.
Rick of Livernois has said that you should always use tow tunes for towing. I wouldn't bother for moving a load around the yard or down the street, but for 10 miles or more or long grades, I would highly recommend a tow tune.

Thank you! Is there any need to use the tow/haul feature on the truck when using a tow tune?

Yes, the tow tune does not replace Tow/Haul.

My process...for instance...I run my tank down to empty, fill up with whatever octane I choose, then load corresponding tune.

If your going from say 87 performance to 87 tow tune. Just swap out the tune. If changing from 87 tow to 93 performance run your tank empty and put 93 in and load the 93 tune.
