The bolts specified fit into a grommet type setup in the underside of the coi cover and are held on by pressure. The bolt locations are already on the egine you just need to go get 8 and insert screw them in about 1/4 inch so dont get em too long. #6 allen head bolts.

Here thy are:

I got lucky on eBay. They're nothing flashy, but I thought it might spruce up the engine bay a little. I've seen the roush ones and the blue boss ones, but I just wanted the simple gray ones. Im not going to have anything roush on my truck (so having the roush ones didn't make sense) and I didn't think the blue would go well with my black FX4.
Here's the link to the bolts I bought for them (you need 6):

I'll install Saturday when I can use some daylight.

How did you get the bolts to thread into the valve covers? I ordered the same API parts you used, and they will not thread into the valve cover. I could force them in, but would prefer not to try too hard and damage the post in the valve covers. Did yours thread in or did you have to make them fit more or less?
Thanks for the help!

OK, I actually got them to thread and used a socket to get the bolts into the valve covers. How tightly did you guys torque them down? I was only brave enough to torque them until fairly tight in and did NOT want to push them in too hard for fear of damaging the valve covers themselves.
My coil covers are fairly close to the valve covers, but there is still a decent gap (maybe a centimeter or a little less) between the top of the valve covers and the bottom of the coil covers. They are not flush and some of the pictures make them look like they are pretty flush mounted.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
