Default Mpt revised tune old?

I recently received a rev 12 from MPT and got all excited till i read that tune came out over a year ago? I contacted them about 93 race being rough on my truck, making it drive like a FAST pos,. Lots of drivetrain slop which goes away when put back to stock. Also saw they made some great numbers on the 2015 so i figured since they have more restrictions the 11-14 should be able to make those numbers? Very happy with MPT power but im ready for a tune that will give me power but stock drivablity like my friends 15 ecoboost with canned diablo that feels stock till you WOT. Ask MPT for 93 with stock tran or try SSI or something?

I've been running MPT 93 Towing chill, love it. The race tune is aggressive no doubt.

The other tunes are 5*.

I like the way my 89 tow chill drives but no power, will i lose any power with 93 stock or is it the same just not harsh on drivetrain?

Apparently my definition of power and yours differ, every single tune I have makes much more power over stock.

I have no clue what your talking about. Please define power in your expectations.

I've been running the same MPT 91 tune for a year. I don't even know what version I have but my truck runs great. It shifts better and is less quirky than some other tunes that I've run in the past.

..... that feels stock till you WOT.
A tune like that ends up being clunky and harsh when you go WOT. Tons of tire drama and multiple downshifts whenever you ask something of it.

Leading Edge Tuning can give you a tune far more refined than that. I have an LET 91 tune. I'll just describe it as refined, without a lot of drama, and deceptively quick. The trans will NOT behave like stock but it will be smooth like you want.

LET is rarely talked about at this site but they are quietly turning out some of the best tunes and working on the most powerful Ecoboosts on the planet. I've sent them multiple data logs and they have my truck dialed in! All the changes I asked for were free.

Thank you for the understanding of smooth and not stock. Im aware that modified is not stock. Clunky drivetrain should not be a part of performance, WOT i dont mind the bang or the chrip but sitting at a traffic light and trying to roll away shouldn't feel like i need to lube my yolk. Doesnt feel thst way stock or on 89 tow, only 93 race. Shifting gears under city 1/8-1/4 drive "sometimes" feels like the truck is going out of gear before shifting. Or sometimes while in 6th and downshift of 2 or more gears feels like my transmission is going to be in pieces. (Happened in my 05 3v with sct x2 by rpm outlet)

The power stays the same regardless of which transmission setting you choose. I have the 91 performance tune with the Street transmission setting and it definitely shifts firmer than stock but not as firm as Race. You might want to go with a 93 performance tune with the Chill transmission setting. It'll be a little firmer than stock but won't rattle your teeth out like Race does.

I don't think he is complaining about firm shifts. He is complaining that the trans logic is indecisive and beating up the transmission.
