Default Moving the CAC on the Ecoboost to allow for a hidden winch

There is a Mod that I would love to add to my truck. It's a hidden winch that mounts behind the lower opening on the bumper. The problem is that on a Ecoboost that opening is for the CAC airflow. Does anybody know of a kit that relocates the Factory CAC or has anybody moved there CAC up infront of the radiator?? Here is a link to the hidden winch http://www.roughcountry.com/images_l...ate_1010-v.jpg

Full Race makes an intercooler for the truck that is HUGE and fits behind the upper grille as opposed to down low. I'm sure if you put that in you would be able to use that winch.

However, if you want to use your stock IC, you will need to redo or reroute IC plumbing, brackets, etc etc and I don't know of anyone that has either made anything or done it themselves.

Franchi has a different CAC but I don't think he relocated it, I'm not sure there is not too many options on where to put it it's pretty cramped in there.

Thanks for the input. I sure hope I can come up with something. I will keep trying to do some research on this. This would be a huge success for 4x4 owners with the Ecoboost or anybody in general with a Ecoboost who wants a winch up front.

Here is a pic of the bracket that holds the winch behind the lower opening.

Sorry. I didn't realize the first link only showed a pic of the truck. Try this link instead if your curious. http://www.roughcountry.com/ford-f15...mount_1010.php

Thanks so very much. You nailed it perfectly, that is what I was looking for. Now to call and see if I need to sell my kidney or give up my first born child. If they don't list the price and it says Call For Price, I'm sure it's going to be $$$$

You want the Full Race CAC for what you are looking to do. I dont think they have released pricing yet though but from what I recall on the Full Race thread, Geoff said it would be released sometime in January.

The Wagner Intercooler that I carry is a direct plug and plug for the same OEM location so wouldn't be any good for what you are looking to do.
