MBRP or Hearthrob cat back exausht ? which choose?
I'm looking to buy a cat back exausht system for my F150 EcoBoost. But, I can't make an idea witch choose between the MBRP 3" T409 kit, and the 4" Hearthrob kit.
Do you have some recommandation about it, or some experience with ?
Thanks for you comment!

HeartThrob IMO. They are claiming BIG numbers and I think it sounds nicer and the turbo whine is more audible..... if thats what you like. I LOVE the sound of the spooling down turbos. I plan to order mine but instead of sticking out the non chrome poop pipe behind the wheel, I plan to leave the turn down behind the axle with no tail pipe sticking out.

Thanks guys for your comment! My F150 is the supercrew cab, with the 6'.5" rear box (157" of wheelbase). Do I need to cut some parts with the Heartthrob kit ? I saw some specs about both system, MBRP claim 18HP and Hearthrob claim near of 28hp I think. Do you know what type of material Heartthrob are built ? ( Stainless steel, steel, T304, T409 etc. ?
Thanks again

They are made from aluminized steel. Basically, semi-polished steel. Looks like crap IMO. Thats whay I eant to dumpo it behind the axle and not even have a pipe sticking out. The onyl way I'd do it is to do like a previous poster.... cut the tail pipe and weld on a nice 5" tip. You won't need to cut anything for it to fit properly. Since it is NOT a rear exit exhaust, bed length doesn't matter.

40HP from just a catback. No way at all! They can claim all they want. In the immortal words of old school rap "Don't believe the hype". I had MBRP for a week and didn't care for it. Spent more and went with SOLO MR400 4" single out. Love it.

Solo makes a great exhaust. I know the 40hp Heartthrob claims is BS.....
I just like the turbo whistle from their exhaust. I would LOVE a solo but its too much money for me. Someone is selling a Heartthrob on eBay for $460 shipped.

Heartthrob is claiming over 40hp.

The two statements made in bold are incorrect.
1. Aluminized steel is not "basically semi-polished steel". It is steel hot dipped in an aluminum alloy for better corrosion and heat resisting properties than steel alone.
2. Cutting is not dependent on rear exist, but length from flange to axle, which varies from cab/box combination. I cannot remember what bed/cab combos require cutting. I have a super crew 6.5 box and had to cut.
