I am not concerned with track times between the two, but I am wondering about this in the new version. Can you try their tow one too and give a review between? It won't be until I head to Houston on Thanksgiving that I will be able to try my friend's Livernois tunes and do a side by side comparison between that and my 5 Star. Now that he has the ability to hold 4 tunes, it will be easier to compare multiple tunes this time.

The 93v2 and the 93 tow are really inpressive. The tow driveability is hands down the best out of all of them. Funny thing is I was not very happy with the 87 tow tune. The 87 performance is probably the best bang for your buck. I have to keep the performance tune off my truck or else I am filling up frequently due to a lead foot. With the tow tune, driving is smooth and the power is exactly where you need it.

It seems like the 5* 93 tune has more torque early in the rpm range. I can't speak about the LMS 93 tow one because I am having to much fun with the 93 v2 tune. I have put a few more miles on the LMS 93 v2 all I can say is it flat out flies. Under normal driving conditions it drives great. When you put the pedal down the truck comes alive. All the shifts a firm and precise. I very happy with the choice I made. I don't go to the track often maybe a handful of times a year but when I go I know that I will get a lot of people's attention when I make a 13 sec pass in a pick up truck.

Thanks for the review. That seems to be the case comparing the dynoes of the two tunes that I have seen on this forum. LMS 93 has more HP and 5* with more torq.

I don't think you could go wrong with either company!

Thanks for taking the time to do a review of both! It's nice to hear an unbiased opinion from someone who has actually had both tuners!
