As always with the internet, pics or it didnt happen seems to be what a lot of guys are saying here. Not saying the numbers are not real but the drop in time and bump in trap speed do seem like a lot for the gains.

If real, that is awesome but I'd like to see some numbers for a more typical configuration without a gear swap and with a timeslip.

Rick, it is great to see another option out there. Keep us posted as you get more 5.0's tuned.

If it was only me that ran 103 and more I would say OK what's up.But all the tuned rcsb 2wd trucks run 103 and more, 7 that I know of.I have a nephew with one that is 100 % bone stock and 300 miles that ran 14.32@94 then with only a tune NOTHING else it ran 13.60's@103.good air YES but not negative DA.Also yes it's true that I took weight out where I could, spare tire-front stabilizer-center console but my truck still weighs 5300 w/driver.thats not light by no means. It seems the faster we go the madder Eco guys get.Is it our fault they won't put your motor in a rcsb 2wd you still would have a 6 Banger with 2 peanut turbos in a heavy truck.

I didn't see this truck before or after at the track, but have no reason to dispute it.

If you look at the info from our 5.0L Mustang, it picked up 30 RWHP and went 1.5 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile and + 12 mph (11.6X @ 119) with photos and videos to document it. With additional mods and an additional 60 RWHP it went .8 quicker and only picked up 4-5 mph (10.8X @ 122-124). These numbers don't make sense in my head, but I drove it and have videos of it.

One more thing,if I did own a 4 door 4wd Eco with a tool box, running boards,Reese hitch and every other bell and whistle that I could put on it I'de still beat most people out there because I would put the time and effort to have a VERY fast truck. My 07 GT500 Shelby was the fastest stock blower full weight car in the country 10.65@130 on a drag radial. My 09 GT mustang NA with boltons and weight reduction and NSR cams ran 11.90's one of only a hand full in the country to do so.My point is more people than not said bull**** it can't be done just because some others couldn't do it.I'm use to it by now.

Do you think the changes in programming for the transmission could explain the larger gains at the track from a smaller bump in power?

The trans tune, specifically the shift points could contribute partly to this.

My jealousy is getting the best of me. I want the same trans tuning to pick up 9-10 mph trap. Congrats to those 5.0 owners that get great gains from tunes.

Thats the thing that baffles me here. Unless the factory trans tune is different, the same gains should be available if the end trans tune is the same (but maybe that is different too...if so, why though).

I'd really like to see the Livernois tune on say a 4x4 screw w/3.73's, both 5.0 and EB with before and after runs on the same day and with no other mods than intake and tune. Yeah, I know, I'm dreaming.
