Furthermore, the Livernois tuned EB's are pulling 99 mph at 360 rwhp. Yea, it's heavier, but -8 mph at +30 rwhp with 500 extra lb doesn't add up either.
I agree 100%

After listening to it again it is just the intake sound, it gets quieter as the truck passes. Cool, that's Jeep srt-8 territory in the 1/4 mile and those cut 1.7-1.9 60ft with 375+- whp.

I did not witness this truck at the track, I'm just relaying what the customer said.

I only know of one EB customer that has been to the track with our tune. If the weather holds off tomorrow, I plan on taking our truck and a customer said he is going to take his Crew Cab short bed as well.

Correct, standard cab, 6 ft bed, 2WD

Sometimes I have a hard time believing HP numbers vs ET as well.

This car, our 5.0L Mustang GT is 3,800 lbs. with me in it, and at this time made 379 RWHP (stock it made 349 RWHP) and went a best of 11.58 @ 119 mph N/A with the mods listed in the video.

Adding 60 more RWHP (440 RWHP) N/A, same weight, me driving, the car went 10.80's at 122-124 mph.

For the HP compared to ET, it doesn't make sense.

Rick is that my nephews truck that you did the platinum parts on.If it is it never ran 107 the best it ran was 104 BUT it has a best et of 12.95 CAI,your tune and a cat back with 4.10s and a drag radial. Also the only reason these trucks trap 94 in the quarter stock is that the gov. Kicks in.fast trucks either way.And yes his truck is faster than mine with less parts.I got the Mutt.lol

Nice work Rick ... been following Livernois over at ls1tech for about 10 years and your shop has turned out a LOT of fine F-Body motors, tunes and upgrades. Good work!

How recently did we do it? We did two trucks that we nearly identical. One probably about a year and a half or so ago and another a few months ago. This one was the more recent of the two and they both ran great!

If I remember correctly, I think you are referring to the first one we did, because I remember mention of his uncle having one.

Thanks for posting that info though, it just shows how quick they are with minimal mods.

Thanks for the kind words! We've been a long time supporter of LS1 Tech. I should have a lot of cool stuff to post on there soon. Our ZL1 should be in next week and hoping to get it into the low 10's/high 9's fairly quickly.

So what you're saying is the only thing making a stock 5.0 truck trap 94 is the rev limiter. That means an engine with less hp/tq is reaching the rev limiter faster than another engine with more hp/tq. I'm sure someone smarter than me will weigh in but reaching a speed in a given distance over a time shows power. I want someone to explain how the rev limiter is the only thing making the 5.0 trap slower than the Ecoboost or 6.2. Also, how are there some tuned Rcsb 5.0s trapping 98-99 and not 105? I'm not doubting, just would like some explaining.

Name of the thread is Livernois Tuned 5.0L F150. Don't believe he said anything about the eco or 6.2 ... made a pretty obvious point the 5.0 trucks often do not reach their potential trap speed when the limiter hits 94 before the traps. I think 'smarter people' would play not into your word game of your same old line of 'So what you're saying is ...'

Be a 'stand up guy' Joewee. You're the guy who said Boss5.0 gained 1.5 seconds with a 75 wet hit ... because you said he got to 13.0x with the first 75 jet. His 31.0x was all motor ... Wow!
