This may be a dumb question, but I am ready to order and would like to know if there would be any advantage to getting my truck updated to the newer flash available at the dealer first? Obviously it should effect the stock tune, but would it help with the performance tunes?

If you get it updated, you need the new stategy code or the device will come with the old one. Also, for some strategy codes, LMS has the updated versions.
Check with Rick.

For anyone who has the file name not displaying on the tuner after the update, please email me at rleblanc@livernoismotorsports.com. I know a fix for it now and we are currently writing some updates in the software to insure this doesn't happen on future updates.

Yes, I realize that. I will contact Rick directly for an answer to my question. I am hoping for the best with the tuner as I have put 11,000 miserable miles on this truck due to the fact that I have 315/70/17 tires (34.5) Raptor wheels and tires. Horrible shifting,power, fuel mileage (12.9) etc. If it wasn't for the tuner solving the problem, I would go back to the stock 32" tires in a heart beat.

Got the new new update (not stuttering) from Rick, installed on my PC, updated the tuner and now I show 87 Tow, 87 Perf, 89 Tow and 89 Perf. Loaded the 89 Tow, ran some errands and on a quiet stretch of two-lane pushed the pedal to the floor. Once again startled by the power and hanging on to keep the truck on the road. I don't do that often as I got it for towing, but it is like a new ride at the theme park when I do.

Well I have waited long enough and just orderd today, cant wait to try it on my 2012 as I have 2011 with a bully dog on it lets see if it can make the dog turn tail and run
