Thanks, sorry for the nOOb question.

He tows on a regular basis so that is why he is going to use tow tune as daily driver.

Holy Hell.

So plugged the tune in and super easy to install. Sat around in the heat in the parking lot to test it on the drive home. Took about 5 minutes of playing on the phone and it was done. Gauges did a little flickering thing and all of a sudden it was done. Fire it up and actually ran smoother than before.

Out of the parking lot and out into the street, tried to get out into traffic and merge..... yup, definately a new truck.

Had to take a "detour" home to get some more mileage on it. It's crazy how the powerband is now always right there, how crisp everything is when you get on the gas and how much better the transmission handles itself upshifting and downshifting. It's driving manors are what Ford should have done, thi sis like driving a sports car, it's unbelieveable the potential these trucks have and how well Livernois put it in a package that works.

Best I think is when it shifts from 1-2 and it is right there going in second gear, no more lag or power management delaying. You get on it and bam you are at 60 like nothing. I can only wonder what the other tunes are on higher octane, just wish we had 93 here!!

I have played the mod game for years in other toys mostly snowmobiles. I have learned you pay for the good stuff that is quality workmanship and know that it will last. Hearing their reviews and seeing their other work they were the only ones I trusted tuning a 50k truck with still under 500 mile on it. I have full confidence that this tuner will fully exceed my expectations for many miles to come. Thank you livernois for setting up the truck how it shoud have came from factory..

As for mileage... I will let you know when I get done getting use to the extra power... the tires will appreciate it too. haha

Yup that is exactly it. I don't want to worry about having a "safe" tune in the truck or have to wait for a tune to switch over so I plan to just run the tow tune full time. I have heard it still much more aggressive than stock so that is good for me. I really can't wait to try it out this winter pulling sleds around with the my sledding group... this truck is going to make a great tow rig.

They do make a 93 octane tow tune now. I have ran it and it runs great. So you aren't limited to just the 87.

Yup, just wish we had 93 around here! Ric told me that 89 is also an ethanol type setup, so it's more for "bad" gas. My biggest concern would be driving a couple states West and not finding high enough octane to run the tune installed. I am pretty sure I will be playing with the perfomance tunes here for a bit just to see what they will throw down!

Anybody put on some serious mileage with the LMS tunes yet?

Im 99% sold on this product, still waiting on funds. I am certain it will improve the overall driveability of the truck but would like to hear from folks that have put some serious wheel time in with the tune installed.

Im not a drag racer, nor do I tow. I haul the occasional heavy load, nothing huge or over the top, just a few times a year. Just a guy that wants a better driving truck, or rather, how it should have came from Dearborn.

I understand and accept warranty denial, just want to make sure installing a tune my truck will last 10 years/70,000 miles.

5,000 abusive miles. A good 1,500 towing 8k+, and the rest are hard driven street miles. Nothing but praise. And multiple tunes on the tuner are just around the corner. Will be golden then!

2500 hard street miles on the 93 tune and zero issues. 1 speeding ticket early on since the truck just wants to pull so much harder off the line even under partial throttle. 45-50 mph seems to come very quickly now.

Has anyone seen dyno graphs for the tow tune?
