Default Livernois 93v2 Perf vs Livernois 93 tow?

I know it's been asked but I don't recall ever hearing an answer. I have run 93 perf and 93v2 perf since I've owned the tuner. For no reason other than my curiosity I swapped to the 93tow tune. I noticed a few things. Obviously it's down on power vs the 93v2 tune. If I had to guess I'd say 20whp. Second thing I noticed was that the turbos are nearly silent compared to the 93v2. Throttle response isn't as aggressive with the 93tow. With the tow tune I stayed in 6th gear at nearly 40mph and 1000rpm going up a decent hill and that has never happened on the same hill with the performance tune. All in all I really enjoyed the 93tow tune because it felt smoother, quieter and better for all around daily driving. I would just like to see side by side dyno graphs of both tunes.

I'll add a question to your list:

Is the tow tune even necessary when running an off-road Y-pipe while towing?

That is a great question, with the offroad Y pipe no CATS to get damaged . I have to wonder what the EGTs are though , you might get into the danger zone of the turbos when towing.

Livernois has never posted tow-tune dyno numbers. If I remember right, Rick tried to locate them but couldn't.

I believe the tow tune number will be lower. It looks like the power gains on the performance tunes leans out AFRs to around 11.5 and the tow tunes and stock tune under boost are rich around the upper 10s to lower EGTs .

I just find the 93 tow tune a much more comfortable and less noisey tune. Don't get me wrong, i miss the power of the v2 but the feel of the tow tune does okay to fill my need for power. I'd just hate to not have more power available when merging into traffic if you know what I mean.
