I have no indication that parking brake is sticking, It will roll forward on a small downhill incline in Neutral. Have not looked at Park brake at the rear wheels to definitively answer that question, but I sure will now.

Thank you.
Well that pretty much explains why you're getting low mpg, you need a 20 to 30 minute run to be most efficient and start stop stuff is the worst, it's just how it's going to be I'm afraid.

I would say check your parking brake actuator levers though, it's almost a guarantee they're seized.

Got it!!! Thanks for the good feedback. Changing jobs in a week, will be driving significantly more, so hopefully I will see it bump up significantly.

Two quick questions because I am in the mood to turn wrenches.

My 2013 xl 3.7 now has 63 K on it. The nights are getting cooler with better humidity recovery. Lately, I have heard this on startup coming from the engine compartment (and I think this happened occasionally this time last year too). It's a very brief, momentary chirp or squeak almost like it's the serpentine belt or tensioner or maybe the AC belt. But it's just that 'chirp' noise and instantly gone. I look at the belts and they appear fine but.should I just go ahead and replace both belts and tensioner? I

Second question is my owner's manual does not have the spark plug parts number. It says refer to ford dealer. When it comes to boots and plugs for the 2013 3.7 what is recommended or what particular brand are owners finding meets or exceeds factory?

Thank You for any advice, experience and suggestions!!!

Belts and tensioners are usually 80 to 100k miles and/or ten years, depending on use, environment etc. So it's totally possible they need doing.

Spark plugs, no point messing around with the Ford part #, just get the NGK plugs and you won't go wrong. Make sure you use dielectric grease in the boots, you should find your current ones are ok.

When I did my plugs last year on my 2012, 3.7 with 100k miles, I pulled a plug, got the number and went back with the same plug. I figured 100k miles, why not. This also gave me a chance to check the gap just to see what the wear was.

In my opinion, it's not worth messing around with the motorcraft part numbers on plugs, they already have NGK make them, just get the NGK's, the part number doesn't keep changing when the wind blows.
