Claims of engines blown. . Lol this guy is not claiming .. no reason I should be driving a 5.0 xlt.

If something happen to your truck in pretty sure you would investigate all options. That's What I did and I didn't like what I found.

Anywho... How about that mpt tune? ?
Anyone else care to share a review?

For what it's worth the dyno guy we were using saw a good amount of knock on the same tunes you we're running. But guess what your motor blowing is 100% your fault for not knowing how to log, and back out. Had you logged sent it to who ever was tuneing it and then they said it was fine and it still blew then at that point the last thing I would do is post on a forum. At that point I would pursue legal action. Fact is people one here beg for more more more. I want the fastest right now. Then they load retarded tunes have no idea about what is going on with the tune then pop a motor and start screaming omg I blew my motor. It makes about as much sense as the rest of these nut swingers claiming they have the best of everything. Your motor blew that sucks ***** but what could you have done differently

See that's where u wrong. ... I never ask for more in t5... The damn thing wasn't right. . I'm getting tired of talking about it really. Last time I'ma say this. .I wasn't testing and I wasn't asking for more. .It wasn't a race tune either. It's my fault for not having a gauge. But again it could have been a bad injector. I'll find out soon enough tho

Sorry For going off topic

What Geno was saying is that with any tune you should load it and log it, don't trust it.
Learn how to look at AFR, knock counts etc and if you see high lambda readings or knock then go back to stock. Don't even make a full pull just back out and say it's got problems.
This goes for Livernois (too bad you can't datalog with their tuner), Unleashed, MPT or any other tuner out there. You're playing with a $50K time bomb if you just load it and trust it.
This goes specifically for AZ and CA people with our HORRIBLE gas.

Just the fact of you running t5. Trex. Or even MPTs new tune or any tune for that matter with out logging and knowing what's going on. That's flat out not good judgment. As much as I really try to avoid anything that has to do with SSI.
I know for a fact when I was someone who was on the circle jerk wagon of SSI supporters. It was very clear that running any of Shawn ' s tunes was needed to be logged for each truck to know what was going, and on his site if anything did not seem right return it to stock. I have seen you begging in other posts to have the best blah blah blah before so acting like a victim now has no grounds. Then again part of me agrees with you. Fact is we are all responsible for our own trucks and you should be careful who you trust and not just trust but VERIFY. Regardless this community is screwed from all this high school crap. Really exactly what Mike said !!! I have my own feelings about SSI and things I have seen but I will not post that crap as I really don't care it does not effect me and i want NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I will not get drawn into the high school crap but the fact is you need to know what your doing and if your dumb enough to load a tune on the ragged edge theN be prepared to pay the costs.

Im done

I data logged every tune I got from him!

I sent every one and got it approved before I would run it.

I been learning how to read them more throughly since kaboom.

If that's truly the case then i would not be on a forum. I would be coping emails and talking to a laywer. Then again all tunes are run at your own risk. Unless you can prove they purposely intended to wrong you.

It sucks I wish you best of luck.

Here's my review..

(>1.5 yrs ago) My first tune I've had was from innovate diesel-never did feel a difference than a canned tune.

(1.5yrs ago) MPT came into the forum and was running specials on his tunes. I said why not let's give it a try. Tune was the better than the previous but a little bit rough. Used it but also would switch to a canned tune whenever I felt on changing octanes... then i left it after purchasing a new tune.

(6mo ago) solcal came around and i heard awesome reviews at that time so I purchased it. (Level 5 & hot)Wow. I never felt so much power n the throttle was very sensitive. But I came to discover a constant problem with compressor surge. It wasn't until the last month I read that a T4 was out. So I asked if a can upgrade couple of times but never got a email back. I then learned about their forum and the disappointing news that I would have to fork out $150 to receive my first update. (I guess I'm might get "fired" too now that I spoke my mind)

(Several days ago) I asked Mike if I can still update my tune w the newest one. So he did n put me in the list. This new tune is so much better than anything I've ever had. Power has increased and streetability is so much better. I have not hear of any compressor surge so that's a big plus. The best thing was that since August 2012 I am still considered his customer and supports my purchase with his free updates. Thank you Mike

Are these tunes that just came out or the updates from last fall?
