Default installed AEM meth kit, have a few questions

I just installed an AEM meth kit on my 2012 ecoboost and everything is wired just like it said on the directions I left the fail safe wire and the solenoid wire alone since it didn't come with it. But I noticed the pump is running g from the second I turn the key forward and stays running is it supposed to do that? I have it set to start spraying at 8 psi all the way up to 15 psi for now. But I am alive worried about burning up the pump running it all the time.

In some applications yes it is common to see the pump running all the time. The solenoid will control flow to the nozzle when needed. When I install meth kits, I wire them to where you have a toggle switch you flip on to turn on the meth kit and pump. Then there is an activation switch that activates the solenoid when meth is needed.

Only thing is this one didn't come with a solenoid or any switch, should I get one?

I believe with the aem kit the control box is the solenoid. The hose runs from the pump to the box then to the nozzle correct? If so then the control box will have a built in solenoid to control flow.

Interesting, I would suggest calling aem. I dealt mostly with snow meth kits. The only couple aem kits I messed with the pump would only kick in when it needed meth sprayed. I would call them, my understanding is your kit is constantly spraying meth which isn't right.

Well it's not spraying I pulled off the nozzle with the pump running and it don't then I hit the test button and it sprayed, the led indicator shows when it's spraying

I briefly looked into the aem kit and my understanding is the pump runs all the time, and has some sort of internal bypass that dumps the meth until you command it. I'd say it's normal. I'd call them to verify though. A 5 min phone call to potentially save you a headache later is well worth it.

Called them up and it's supposed to make a buzzing noise when the key is tuned on it has a bypass valve in it, so everything is fine
