Sorry, I was typing without thinking.
You are 100% with it being the "Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor"

Not saying your wrong, just odd. Can't imagine the pressure differential (vacuum) changes, if it does, that would mean to me you need a larger filter LOL

I've only seen MAP sensors used on speed density FI systems. They're redundant on a mass airflow system.

We havent had a 2012 at the shop yet, so I haven't yet confirmed what they are actually running with.
I am going off the info I got from the tech guys at AFE, Airaid, Injen. It may just be a different piece all together.
I will get the info as to exactly what it is right now, and post it here.

I believe I read a post about a month ago from some guy in China that was using an occiliscope to test it. It would make since if it uses HZ signals. Ford was awarded a patent for a new MAF ? in December also.

From what I have discovered, its not the MAF but the AIT sensor that is updated. The MAP thing came direct from a engineer at an intake manufacturer, but I believe he mixed his terms up like I did.

The company is well know but going down the wrong path by not giving the vendors support or proper information. Its not Injen or Airaid...
