Default 2011 EcoBoost Stutter

Mine has had this stutter on accel from Hwy speeds the Check Engine lite will flash and engine looses all power for about 30 seconds then will pick up and run normal till I punch it again then it misses terribly. Changed original plugs at 50K Second set at 75K Third set at 111 K and now I'm at 118 and need them again.

I have put a shield across about a third of the IC NO Help, Ford During Warranty reflashed my ECM and seems like it does not have the power it did before.

I'm bout fed up with this issue and changing 100K plugs every 6 months or less now. I have not drilled the IC Drain hole yet but wondering if anyone else has had as much frustration with theirs.

Drill the hole..gap plugs at .030 if stock and .028 if tuned. I drilled my 13 and had a creek coming outta it after 30,000 miles..not 1 issue since of shudder.

Yep. Read the threads on here and this issue has been talked about hundreds if not thousands of time.

Like 05 said, drill the hole and regap your plugs. I would also remove the Intercooler blocker as it wont be needed after you drill.

Also do coil boots, those are a known issue. It helps to add dielectric grease in too to get a good seal.

Make sure you are putting plugs in to the proper torque and proper gap.

Drill the hole for sure as those guys said.

Do you get the stutter virtually any time? Or is it just when it's damp out?

Where are you guys drilling the hole?

Yeah man, I realize that. I didn't feel like scouring through multiple 120 page threads looking for the video. Christ, not to mention that video was absolutely terrible. I can hardly tell where he's even talking about. Still in the exact same place I was when I initially asked lol

Were you ever over on the Cummins forums? I swear I remember a user with your same avatar...but maybe I'm imagining things.

I agree not the best video but it works.

Nope I was never a cummins guy. I was a member of a Duramax site for many years though...
