With adding the chip, will it affect your warranty?

Yes. If I break something caused by the tune then Ford won't cover it.

It was posted to show the difference with like setup launching in 4X4. The OP knew why by his comment....Your attitude is childish at best. Grow up!

Is the tuner easily removable in case something starts acting up on your truck? I'd like to add one to my Eco FX4 but nervous about voiding my warranty.

Then don't add it. Yes you can remove it. Easily? If you call flashing your truck back to stock easy then yes. It is a risk for sure, just like adding an intake or exhaust. If Ford or the Dealer say you modification caused the part to be broken, then it is your pocket book.

I don't know a lot about tuners and flashing. I have just heard a lot about them and would like to increase my mpg.

They are pretty basic, handheld units that plug into the OBDII port. The tuner will upload a file to the ECU and run off the update parameters set by the tuning company. To go back to stock, just use the tuner to flash back a stock file. It takes less than a minute to flash the computer, and most of the tuners have preset selectable modes so you dont have to worry about doing any setup.

When flashing back to stock, the dealer is unable to tell a program was there, just that the computer system had been accessed

Thanks, I'll look more into it. I'd like to see the episode the OP's truck will be in. Anyone know when it will be aired and what the name of the show is?
