Yes, according to some that is worth a 30% increase in fuel mileage. I red it on the interweb.

So you modded your truck and put big, high rolling resistance tires, didn't recalibrate the odo and are surprised by the poor mileage readout.
Brilliant
Bloody brilliant.

The Garmin Nuvi line of GPS has an Eco feature that can track actual miles and fuel used. I've gotten them on sale at Amazon for around $100.

Next time multiply your mileage readout by 1.035 then divide by number of gallons (you'll probably gain ~1mpg back). Even in stock form if you hand calculated the mileage it would probably be lower than the readout because mine always reads ~1mpg higher. And I hate to break it to you but don't be surprised if the intake doesn't gain you squat in the MPG department.

What tire pressure are you running in those new tires? Your new heavier lugged tires, inflated high, will lose you a couple mpg. Under inflated will lose you even more.

You do know the EPA rating for your truck is 15 mpg city. That's pretty close to the 14.5 you mentioned......

Here are some pics. But I ordered an intake and am waiting on a tuner to program my new tires in. I guess the really cold temp and ethanol in the gas doesn't help either.
