Has anyone been rejected by warranty for tunes truck ?

I know that everyone had an opinion on this subject but what are the realities ? Has anyone had first hand experience being rejected by ford warranty because they knew u have or had a tune at one pint or another and what was the outcome ? I already know people say it voids warranty with any tune so please don't just repeat the same old same old. I wanna hear real stories. Thx

Mines in for a tranny repair, no questions asked. I think it was a defective part though.

this guy had a tune and got warrenty. and there was another guy on here that got denied because of tune, I can't find that thread. so it's almost up to your dealer i would ask them and see what they say.

Yeah mine actually encouraged tuning so I knew what they are all about. But ur right depends on dealer is cool or not with tuning.

Totally dealer dependent

The guy that was denied had a bent rod and Ford said it was from over boosting.

Yeah it seem as though ford really can't tell unless u leave it tunes or use a crap tuner and mess things up. Most custom tunes by reputable tuners are safe from what I understand and don't go overboard with the boost and what not. Hope I never have to find out either way.

This is an old thread, but being a new owner of a '14 EB I had the same question. With many mods you always hear cautions about voiding your warranty, it's the same on the motorcycle forums. I haven't looked real hard for cases where there were issues YET, but just a general observation after reading forum stuff every day....you heat the cautions daily, but rarely hear of it actually happening. Granted, there can be a lot of $$ involved, so even a slight chance has to be taken seriously. I want a tune, but I rely on my truck for my business, it's not my weekend toy, so I'm being careful. Most likely I'll go with a 5 star package that's not extreme. Do you guys put the stock tune back if you just go in for an oil change at the dealer? I imagine they could take the opportunity to update your flash.

I wouldn't for an oil change. But I would tell them to just change the oil and keeps your paws off everything else. :D
