I think I'd rather have my engine blow up that launch me into a building.

Ya, the building thing looks too much like driver error. ;-)

Is this a joke? Or do you actually think cars accelerate on their own, so far I've seen more eco's blow up then proven cases of accelerators glitching on toyota's. So far its been tards pressing the gas instead of brakes or putting 3 floor mats on top of each other.

It's bad that anything ever happens like any of these issues, especially when they result in injury. What I will say about Toyota though, at least they acknowledged it and did a recall. Ford should've done a recall well before now with all the Eco issues

Sorry to say it, but until someone dies or is injured as a result of the "Eco misfire" ford probably won't do anything about it.

I remember there where a several REAL cases where the accelerator glitched and caused the death the drivers. The rest where full on morons that where unknowing to them where pressing the gas pedal or had the gas pedal stuck because their floor mats dislodged since they where not clipped in properly. I'm sorry but if you are that clueless to properly attach your floor mats or that stupid that you can not press the brakes, shut the engine off or simply throw it into neutral you should not be driving. Heres an example:
