Thread closed no explanation. One would figure that us members of this forum who have spent so much time reading and following this deserve at least an explanation. guess we better watch what we say maybe we will be next lol

Although I hate the way Ghost has been treated by the dealerships and FoMoCo. It wouldn't sway my decision on my next purchase. I've been driving Ford trucks for over 30 years and have never had a single warranty issue. I've had a few factory recalls over the years but no warranty issues. This also includes my 2011 Ecoboost F150 which has been trouble free for the 2 years and 4 months I have owned it. I hate to sound insensitive to the issues Ghost is going through but I am basing this off my 30+ years of trouble free ownership with Ford not someone else's experience. If I had the same experience as Ghost I would feel the same way he does, but I know too many happy Ecoboost owners locally to feel the same way. This doesn't mean I don't have sympathy with what he is going through or agree with how he is being treated. I already stated my opinion in another post... I think Ford should take that truck back to their lab and figure out why that truck is ****ting through engines like there is no tomorrow because obviously the techs at the dealerships can't.

I still think your situation stinks Ghost. Don't get me wrong, I still think my Ford truck is better than any of what the competition has to offer, but you got the shaft with Ford's customer unservice.

It's like a soap opera. Unfortunately at the expense of Ghost.
I must type too slow. I was typing a post to comment on this Ashley bashing and when I tried to post it, I got a "Sorry, thread is closed".

Good luck Ghost. Keep us updated.

I noticed there's another thread there with a guy whose EcoBoost blew up. Ford really has to get on top of this. The EcoBoost is still a pretty new engine. You don't want the public to associate the term "EcoBoost" with kabooming engines and nonexistant customer service. Think about how long it has taken Dodge to shake off the transmission stigma from the 90s. Even though the transmissions now are better, I still hear people say they won't buy a Dodge truck from any year. Reputations are important, and Dodge's bad reputation was built before the internet was as large and popular as it is today. The way they're treating Ghost is just a disaster and they deserve all the lost sales they get from it.

Not mine but from Arfcom.

There has also been reports of 4 or 5 5.0's blowing up on this forum which was about the same # of Ecoboosts blowing up on this forum until Ghost's truck started blowing them up like crazy. Compared to the # of these engines on the road the failure rate is still pretty low. Now that Ghost's issues are gaining world wide recognition nobody remembers the failures of the other engines.
