Buying it for myself as a "first marathon completed gift" and I'm already beyond excited. Hopefully ill be able to post some pics while im there next weekend!

nice to speak with you and good luck with the marathon! Make sure to stop by Full-Race when you are in Phoenix

we designed this to be something that's easily installed by someone in their driveway and offer great value, the CAC / intercooler swap is very simple and straight forward, it should not take more than an afternoon to complete. there isnt much that can go wrong (people on this forum who have removed their stock IC can vouch for this)

That is correct - we are in production on the coolers and the installation accessories, but they will be shipping in February. We're not rushing it and instead making sure everything is perfect before shipping. We would rather ship in feb than have any unhappy customers in January

we do have some people who prefer to use radiator paint on the IC, however we do not do that because it can reduce the ability for the heat exchanger to shed heat. It may be a minimal amount (especially if you dont go crazy with the spray can) but our type III milspec ano works great, lasts a long time without chipping like paint - and does not affect heat transfer .. obviously the end user can paint it however they like but we do not do any painting here

that will happen in ~10 days I do not like to photograph things and put them out until they are "ready"... but we're really, really close

the wagner unit is actually located low like the ford stock location however it has much more surface area for reduced pressure drop and pumping losses (due to the increased core size)

I think the limiting factor on the new F-150's (minus the 6.2L equipped) is the EPAS (electric steering), not necessarily the IC location' although its certainly an issue as well. If anyone buys this with the idea of snow plowing you might want to refer them to their owner manual. Id hate to see someone give you grief and bad press because they trashed their steering with a snow plow and said you could do it with the upgraded IC.
thanks for the heads up - i asked the web guy in our office to fix the description, you are absolutely correct - my mistake. I knew the clearance was there to mount it but overlooked the EPAS max load

HP/TQ gains from an IC swap are realized due to reduced pumping losses and lowering the pressure drop across the core. That being said a dyno test of the FMIC can vary greatly with many factors and almost impossible to say "15hp or 20tq" and not be BSing... it could be +30hp/+40 tq if the conditions are right, and it could be way less if they arent. Carsten from wagner actually had a great post:

" I went on the Dyno a while ago and did checked the gains, here is the Graph, the Gains should be even bigger after a couple more Miles. <<DYNO ATTACHED>> In my Eyes, you cant just say an Intercooler gives you a fix amount of additional HP and TQ, thats just not Possible, there are a lot of different influences, as Ambient Temperature, driven Speed, Tune, Fuel etc. I did also learned the Motronic takes some time to adjust the ECU and it takes arround 150-200miles to take advantage of the Gains. The biggest Advantage is you are reducing the pressure drop inside the cooler, so the Turbos dont have to work as much anymore to reach the programmed level of Boost and due the better cooling, under load, you will gain more HP."

^^I agree with this

CAC looks awesome. Was curious if there are any heat related issues moving it in front of the radiator, I was told Ford put it low with heat shields diverting CAC heat away from the radiator and keep max airflow through the radiator?

How much testing has been done on this. Has this totally got rid of the condensation issue.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Geoff had said the design of this CAC does not have a place that allows for the air to condense. Since the heat exchange process has been "fine tuned" so to speak. Because of both of these factors It's highly unlikely there would ever be enough condensation to cause a problem like what happens in the stock CAC. Just can't seem to find the post from the other thread, but maybe Geoff will be able to assist, hope this helps for now.

I think the post was that since the intake and outlet pipes to the CAC are on the bottom instead of a 90 degree angle then there is no place for anything to pool.
