Ok. My bad. I usually run mid so .10 more for me and usually fill at 20 gallons equals $2. Just went to quick. Btw this isn't the op question but tuned you will never run regular again.

Like I said, where I live...
131 liter tank x 1.329/liter premium = $174
131 liter tank x 1.179/liter regular = $154

I can't do the conversion to your gallon in my head, but you can hopefully see where the $20 comes from.

Damn!!! You get screwed up there. Here
20 gallons is about as far as I run it (26 gal tank)

20*3.15=$63 for 87
20*3.35=$67 for 91.
So $4 for me which makes it worth it and my premium tune the performance is way better but that's not the point.

I know we get screwed, but sometimes it hurts that much more seeing it in print.
If my math is right, we pay...
$4.46 gallon for 87
$5.03 gallon for 91
No wonders there are so many guys questioning whether they should use premium down there. I would. For my tank it would be about $7 for those extra 55 miles.

Dang. Seeing it converted makes it look even worse. I calculated it before and I think under 1 mpg is break even so for me its a no brainer. If I can't afford another $4 per tank I don't need a truck payment.

You get 17 MPG average with a 5.0L V8? Or do you have an ecoboost? Hope i didnt get a Lemon haha my 2011 is getting approximately 11.3 MPG but is going up slowly. Not sure how often it updates but i am probably going to reset it next week. The 11.3 is around 80% City/local. My father was getting 13 and change. But thats still nowhere near 17?!

Either your trucks have a problem or there's something about your driving. My truck with the 5.0 and 3.73 gears has averaged a hand-calculated 16.07 MPG over approximately 6400 miles in 6 months.

I've always thought people than ran premium were nuts. I've never ran it in any of my vehicles that called for it so I'm definitely not running it in a truck that doesn't call for it.

I had this discussion with the father in law that has a Titan 5.6 and only runs premium because the manual says too....lol
We are already constantly comparing the two trucks

Yeah...we are all nuts for running the fuel that is required for maximum engine performance. Not just talking pickups here. If you're happy with not realizing your vehicles performance that requires premium.. good for you. By the way the 6.2's HP/TQ ratings were achieved with premium so anyone not running that is not getting the advertised numbers.
