That is good to hear. I know the Taurus SHO folks are doing some insane things as well without having too much in the way of drivetrain explosions, but those are about 700-800 lbs lighter than the Flex/MKT. Is your Flex intercooled by any chance?

The Explorer Sport has a slight difference in the downpipes but that's it. The Airaid intake fits across all those lines as well as the same turbos, intercoolers etc.
The motors are all the same setup. My car is a SHO with a Flex body on it.

Yes, the Taurus SHO, Flex, Explorer Sport V6, Lincoln MKT and MKS are all the same vehicle. If you get the Ecoboost on any of these the mods will cross fit, intake/exhaust etc.

It is, but that Flex body adds another 600-700lbs. I have always wondered about the drivetrain setups being used on the Ecoboost cars. It is supposedly the same transmission used in the n/a variant but slightly beefed up. I think the natively FWD setup is what scares me.

The transmission is rated to tow 5K pounds, I don't know where launching at the track will equate the same amount of load towing a big trailer on start is.
We'll keep whittling on it, I'm looking for solid 11's this winter and high 10's next year now.

See? It works in monkeys!
That's a beautiful run! I would love to put a loaded Flex in the driveway but for some reason my wife has a total hate for it! She didn't hate my Golf TDI wagon...
