Default Flo Pro Muffler

I'm about to pull the trigger on a tuner from 5 star. Has anyone tried the flo pro muffler that mike has that has no drone? Any suggestions for a no drone muffler that'll give a little more growl? Also, is an intake worth it with a tuner or should I just get a drop in filter? I have a 2011 F150 FX4 5.0. Thanks for y'all's help.

Someone on here had a flopro and they said it droned pretty bad. I think they added the resonator too. So many exhaust threads lol

I have a 4 inch FloPro exhaust. Drone is certainly noticeable on the highway and cruising speeds but sounds deep and rumbly once it's well broken in. I haven't heard any outstanding reviews on intakes yet but spend your money as you will. Alot of truck owners running the solo mach x dual system are quite happy with their exhaust and are reporting little or no drone. Congrats on the tuner purchase. Anyway hope this post helps

Thanks for the response. I think I'll steer clear of that muffler.

So as long as I have a resonator then I'd be good with the solo muffler. I don't tow anything so that's not an issue.

Yes try it for 1000 miles and after the break in period the sound will be deeper if you find it to loud just put a resonator on it . Or speak to jeff or steve from solo and tell them to put a quiet resonator now and you will be happy for sure
