The first time my Eco blew up......

Hi,
Another AR15.commer here. I also own a f-150. I bought a low mileage 2010 F-150 with the 5.4 and later wished that I had looked for a EcoBoost. After reading this I'm glad I didn't!!! I've read this entire thread and I'm utterly speechless at how your problems have been ignored by Ford!! I can't believe how Ford is ignoring this and frankly, Ashley is a waste of time! She pops up about once per week and makes pleasant noises but can't or won't get anything done about it and now I that i read that you're getting calls from various people at Ford that don't have a clue of what's going on my opinion is that Ford isn't doing anything but stalling you. Frankly unless Ashley or other Ford rep contacts you that KNOWS what's going on then I won't waste my breath even talking to them! In fact my opinion is that unless you get a call from someone in SENIOR management at Ford I don't waste my time talking to them! I also would tell them NO when they wanted send an engineer to look at your truck. I'd tell them to BUY IT BACK if they want to look at it! As another poster pointed out, When the engineers get involved, they'll drag it out forever! FWIW a friend of mine was driving a Volvo and went over a cliff in it but he survived with only minor injuries thanks to Volvo's safety features. Volvo BOUGHT his wrecked car back at over twice what he paid for in order to use it for advertisements!
But back to Ashley; she has made a lot of promises that "they're working on it" but here is is weeks later and she hasn't delivered ANYTHING and doesn't even bother to reply to questions on this forum. A clear sign that Ford (and Ashley) DON"T care!
My advice, go get your broken truck and motor and put them on a trailer and park it on heavily traveled public road where everyone can see it every day and with a sign telling a brief story of everything that's gone on and BAD the Ford Dealerships are and how Ford corporate is completely ignoring the problem. Also contact every news outlet that you can find and ask them to do a story on it AND also contact all of your various government representatives and tell them the story and try to convince them that this is why Canada needs a Lemon Law! As socialistic/paternalistic as Canada is compared to the US, I can't believe that they don't have one!
As far as GM or Dodge using your truck for adverse publicity against Ford, I strongly suspect that the car companies have agreements with each other NOT to drag each other through the mud when events such as this happen.
PS: My f-150 HAS been a good truck but a couple of weeks ago the Tire Pressure Monitoring System failed and is now flashing a light on the dash non-stop. (No, It's NOT a low tire!) I called my dealer and they're CLUELESS about how to fix it and won't even guess at a price to fix! They're not even sure if they can get the tire transponders despite the fact that E-bay sells them! SO I guess I'm going to have to live with that annoying light or take the dash apart and take the bulb out.
Needless to say, I WON'T be buying another Ford or recommending one to any of my friends or family!
Way to go, Ford!

I for one can't wait to hear what they are doing for Ghost. I will be honest here and went thru this once before and was pretty helpless with the dealership and Nissan. I was working out of town and couldn't get back to deal with this personally and my wife didn't want to try and Lemon law, so my hat is off to Ghost for his patience and I have not once felt he was trying to start a fire, he just wanted his truck fixed.

Hi everyone.
GhostintheMachine is currently being assisted by the highest customer service office within Ford. For privacy reasons, I am not able to share with you any of the information regarding his truck or what he has or hasn't been offered. If he chooses to share this information with you, he is within his rights to, but I cannot.
That being said, this is very much on my radar, and it is being worked on.

I don't think its too much to ask that Ford at a minimum given him a vehicle to drive during all of this. Even if it means someone from "the highest level of customer service" marching their tail down to National and renting him a vehicle.

Is a truck, blowing up 3 engines, sitting at a dealer many hours away from home for weeks, waiting on someone from Ford to take a peek at it to verify "yup, blown engine, lets try a 4th one", an example of Ford's highest customer service office? Your posts sound more like a politician than someone helping Ghost. The reputational damage to Ford trucks created by this viral story will take years to repair or heal. There are tens of thousands of guys from all brands, now with written proof, showing how Ford doesn't stand behind an obviously defective truck. But we're all glad to hear it's on your radar.
