Never. Never in any of my trucks.

He said a ford engineer is coming to tear down the motor and he will know what happened to it. Great finally someone who can maybe fix it.

On the flip side he said that there was an updated factory tune in it that there's no record of ever being installed by ford. That being said dealer 2 doesn't show up in his computer of ever doing any work on the truck.

Seems to me that dealer 2 has done something or not done something. What makes me wonder wtf is why he's bringing up aftermarket tuners.

Made me feel weird. Like this is fords way out and I don't have the technical means to fight it.

So a factory tune done by some shoe maker mechanics who don't even have a record of the service they performed. Doesn't sound like they have much of case to deny you IMO.

He brought up the aftermarket tuner to see if you would come out say "why of course is that a problem sir?"

Reading your posts on arfcom it looks like you were on cruise control and then went to pass someone each time two times your engine bit the dust? How soon after the pass did it happen? Were there any issue during the passing? i.e lack of power, rough running...

The third time you were going up a hill, how long was the hill and were you on cruise control during the climb? Had you been on the freeway for awhile before that?

I hope it's not Dave, for your sake. Funny how they can find a code but the "engineer" told me that he wasnt able to pull history on the ecu

Hi everyone.

GhostintheMachine is currently being assisted by the highest customer service office within Ford. For privacy reasons, I am not able to share with you any of the information regarding his truck or what he has or hasn't been offered. If he chooses to share this information with you, he is within his rights to, but I cannot.

That being said, this is very much on my radar, and it is being worked on.

Hopefully... wish it would have happened immediately after this last engine spilled its guts. Better late than never?
