Another arfcommer showing up. That thread is over 26000 hits in just under 12 hours. This is really about to go viral and Ford needs to step up to the plate and do damage control ASAP!!

Ghost, I'm sorry for all the trouble you have had and my hats off to you for the way you have handled it. Good Luck!

People keep saying this is about to go viral. It IS viral and it Fords own fault. Unfortunately for Ford this happened to an ecoboost engine and not one of the others (which it could easily have gone that way). This will only reaffirm the skeptics and deter them from buying an Eco f150. Ford should at the very least take this guys truck back and give him a new one of his choosing immediately. Right now I'm shaking my head and slowing clapping, way to f it up Ford.

This is a great opportunity for another brand like GM, Dodge, or even Toyota to swoop in and save the day by providing you with a new truck. Especially with Ford reps looking on. You can bet that company will gain more than a few new customers from the folks on this message board previously loyal to Ford!

Good luck Ghostinthemachine. Here's hoping for a happy ending to all this BS.

Im sitting here thinking... I just bought an Explorer with the same engine...

1.) The other thought in my head is, if Ghost had bought the raptor, some other poor soul would have blown the second engine, after he bought a nice used truck.

2.) In my opinion, if you have to send an engineer to fix a broken car, at that point you should replace the broken car and send it to the engineers to play with.

Been reading this since day 1.... I am absolutely shocked that ford has not stepped up and done the right thing! They need to take your truck back to Michigan and let their engineers look at it. They need to send you to a dealer of your choice and say " pick one".

I've had my Eco for a little under a year and we currently have 2 in our household ( ford escape) and I am disgusted by the way you have been treated. If it can happen to you it can easily happen to anyone here, thanks for fighting the good fight.

Saw this thread posted to Reddit. Long time Ford guy (two Cobras, three Lightnings, two F150s) in the past, I am disappointed to see how you are being "assisted". They shouldn't advertise these trucks as hard working when the guys who count on them to work hard in their daily jobs can't depend on them whatsoever.

As an owner of both an 2013 Taurus SHO (Ecoboost) and a 2013 Escape (Ecoboost) I am a little concerned for myself too...!

Good luck and I really hope Ford figures out how to step up here...

Why are all you guys hittin' on the Eco?
Yes his first was a bad one possibly but the rest was very obviously a ****ty mechanic and a bad dealership. Someone obviously not looking into the why.

Ghost, I hope things get resolved soon. It's pretty crappy that we don't have the consumer protection they have down south. I think Market Place was pushing some of our MPs to develop some legislation so I too think it would be a good idea to call them. Not only against Ford but also to push our government.
