Hey brother another ar15 transplant here.

I was in the army for several years and had a ford during that time. When it was time for something new I decided to get a tacoma at the disgust of many of my friends and co workers but I got it anyway. Ive liked my truck and been happy with it.

That being said I liked my fords a bunch too. I was riding in my very good friends ranch king just last week and felt that I missed ford. He also gives me **** about my truck and all of his company trucks and his trucks have been fords. Im a welder by trade now and was considering getting another ford but coming over here reading this makes me wonder if my truck goes down are they going to have my back? Of course here in 'merica we have lemon laws that protect us a bit more but this is out of control.

Read your story from the beginning will continue to follow your story and even though its a different country and a situation I don't see myself in it may very well play a big part in whether I go with another ford in the future or if someone else is getting my money.

Another arfcommer checking in. Overall pretty disappointed with the way ford is handling this.

Hey Ghost, another fellow BC guy here.

I can't believe what they are doing to you and the fact you are still paying for a truck you can't use. In my eyes they are basically stealing from you. And to make it worse they are beating the crap out of your truck while working on it de-valuing it even more. It's totally rediculous and how they are justifying it is beyond me.

It would be pretty funny if Dodge or GM stepped up at this point and offered to let you trade it straight across for one of their half tons. Maybe they could do a commercial showing them crushing your blown up truck and then handing you the keys to your new one

Anyway's I really hope Ford steps up and gives you a new truck at this point, anything less isn't right. And thanks for mentioning the dealerships you've been dealing with, i'll make sure to stay clear of the ones in Kamloops.

Just finished reading all pages in this tread. My thoughts are with you and your truck Ghost.

Its pathetic how your being treated by Ford, and how they mismanaged your situation. Its appalling to witness this BS.

My apologies again Ghost, companies are in it for profit, not necessarily for customer benefit. Will be watching this thread carefully, the more people that view and get involved the more it will catch Ford's eye.

Ghost,
As a brand loyal Ford Owner (85 Mustang, 94 Mustang, 98 F-250, 13 F-150) and stock holder I am embarrassed at how you have been treated by this company. I am racking my brain trying to figure out a way to help your situation and I am not sure anything short of Ford taking the truck back and delivering a brand new platinum or limited to your door step would make the pain go away but I am willing to try.

Here is what I suggest. As a collective we setup a Paypal account, each volunteer donates 1 dollar to this account, we collect enough money to pick up the truck as it sits and ship it to Dearborn MI. Plaster nice signs on it about horror your have been thru, Like " I am on my forth engine ...." "Ford where is your service commitment to your customers" and have the truck dropped off in front of their cooperate office.

What do you think? I am willing to donate the first Dollar!

That's right. Ghost's story is terrible. The saddest part about it is that many of us that had Eco issues were treated very poorly, especially by ford corporate. I know the forum is full of stories about it. It doesn't matter what the issue is.... Blown engine, limp mode, etc.... If the dealer is having to keep your truck to fix it or have an engineer fly in to help with it, then YOUR usefulness of the truck is nonexistent. Yes, I was given a rental CAR when mine was kept. The times it carried over a weekend I'd use my dads truck if I had to. The limp mode issue got so bad during last summer I stopped towing with it awaiting the new cac. 19 trips back in 11 months. They had the truck for more than a 1/3 of the time I owned it.

I check this thread every morning as I walk out the door to head for work hoping that there was an update with some good news. It is sad that so many days have gone by and nothing has changed. I love my truck and every other Ford vehicle that I have purchased, but this is just unacceptable. This could happen to any of us and you would think that how big Ford is that they would just make it right first and sort out the details later. Even though I love my Ecoboost work truck and personal, I keep thinking if this were me would I be treated the same by Ford. Therefore if nothing gets resolved with nothing less than Ghost getting a new truck then I will be telling convincing my boss and central purchaser not to get us Fords next time. That is 20+ F-150s and F-350s at our location alone. We have over 70 locations throughout the US although most not as big as our location. I will do my best to get our central purchaser (whom I know personally) to not buy Fords next time. This is the same central purchaser I convinced to move us from Chevys. That will be a loss of millions.

Ashley,

Please get this matter resolved. If it is above your pay grade then please refer it to someone that does have the authority to make it happen. If you cannot do that then can you please give us a name & number or email to someone that we can contact at Ford that does have the authority to get this resolved immediately. I am getting tired of seeing this thread every morning without any resolution.
