Anybody ever heard of that?

What makes me mad is I've never touched a spark plug in this truck and I'm the one who's out a vehicle.

Leave tomorrow to go back to work so my updates will be short.
If they meant the tips of the plugs were melted/missing this would make me think it is the fuel system, lean condition. If it gets hot enough from a lean condition I have seen plugs melted. When the 03-04 Cobra's came out we had issues with them cracking and then blowing apart the porcelain and electrodes. It would be interesting to know if all these engines were bare long/short blocks and they were reusing your fuel system.

Hi GhostintheMachine,

I'm in touch with the Ford Canada rep you are working with and we're seeing how we can get this concern resolved. I'll be in touch soon with more details.

Thanks for any help Ashley.

And the conversation with the service manager left me thinking that the plug itself was literally missing.

Would be funny (not really) if the last tech forgot a plug in that cylinder when replacing the engine Hah. Nohting seems impossible at this point.

If they are giving you another truck then they have to find a truck like yours at a dealer, and then negotiate payment with that dealer. More then likely the dealership is using it as a bargaining chip to get more of the inventory he wants from Ford instead of the crappy vehicles that don't sell. Basically, in order for you to get a new truck from a dealer's inventory there is a lot of hoops to go through ev3n on Ford's part.
Yeah but after what a lot of people have been through with down time of these trucks, especially ghost, they could've built him one like he has. There shouldn't be a shortage of them at the factory

Nice to see the ford rep is working for you on this. Reminds me of the 6.0 Diesel engine problem days.

Wow...I'm just at a loss as to why Ford is continuing to drag this out. I can understand some red tape, as they are a big organization, but at some point there needs to be an executive decision made.

There's 3 reps working on it.

3 reps, 3 service departments, 1 ford engineer. All this plus parts.
