Reflashing an ECU to not give warning of impending doom seems like a bad idea.

I just had a cryptic conversation with the service manager regarding tunes reflashes etc.

It was bizarre and left me feeling like I should get a lawyer ASAP.

Are they trying to say you had a tune and that's why it blew all the motors?

I wouldn't recommend a lawyer just yet. Wait until you hear back from some one higher up.

I can only guess they were trying to pry out of him if he had a tuner which means they don't know for certain. I doubt if he used a tuner he's going to say it out loud here that would put this whole battle to an end right now. If they are accusing him of using a tuner and he's not well that's another scenario.

Ghost as the other poster said no lawyer is required until a decision is made. If you've not used any tunes then there is nothing further to discuss on that issue.

I actually videoed it to show the service techs that thought I didn't know what I was talking about. When the condition became predictable enough to have the camera ready and I when they couldn't pull a code... I knew it was a mask for a "small" percentage problem. What has happened to ghost is what I feared happening to me. After all those times back, with the truck then using oil and dropping a transmission, the best they could tell me is that I shouldn't have towed in 6th gear haha. What a joke

It sounds like they are looking for an out so they aren't eating the 4 engines plus labor to rebuild them each time. Not to mention all the other issues you have cropping up now.

He said way early In the thread he has not touched a single thing on the truck, completely stock.

Then, I post here with my sig and he called out that his truck cannot even run on its own power and mibe is heavily modded. Salt in wound. Sorry ghost!

Anyways... its on ford. They have jack **** and need to deal with it.
