Failed MA inspection with Superchips installed

Same here. It did not pass "system readiness" even though I haven't reflashed or messed with the battery in over 10k miles. Called Mike and he said I have to return to stock then make a drive cycle. This caught me off-guard, and my state is very red.

What's an emission test?

It's not even an emissions test! In la, they just scan it for codes and make sure your fuel cap doesn't leak (passed that part easy). However, in order to prevent people from resetting the computer right before inspection when they do have a problem, they check to make sure you've completed a "drive cycle", and the ECM did all its diagnostics, thus reporting "ready". Apparently, some (all?) tunes don't ever allow the computer to report "ready", causing it to fail inspection. "No credit is just as bad as poor credit", I guess.

I know Mike. I was just stirring the pot since we do not have any form of testing in the part of Texas that I live. There are a few (blue)counties that do have exactly what you are talking about.

Check your superchip to see if there is an option to disable o2 sensors, I sold a SCT tuner to an CT resident and it's default tune disabled the rear o2 sensors I guess.
I found an option under "modify tune" to re enable the sensors thus causing the readiness test to complete

We got rid of emissions testing in Liberalsota (I mean Minnesota) as it was deemed as not being a cost effective means of reducing pollution, at least the lefties did something RIGHT in my state. I'm glad they did, there is no way my T-bird would pass.......
