I don't think he was trying to be a smartass. I think he was trying to be polite...He asked the question pertaining to a different thread that quenne1 answered so he was responding and trying to avoid having his question about another topic jack this thread is all. That's my observation at least....trying to help avoid a confrontation/misunderstanding here lol.

This thread seems to be getting a bit of attention. I will be removing these when i get the chance. If this mod really catches on we shoul call it the papa tiger mod!

removed mine this morning, will see what happens. I can't imagine that the swirl it creates does much by way of performance, it may smooth the air out a bit, but not only do the remaining air tubes have a long run, they bend and flatten out which seems to pretty much disrupt the swirl. Anyway, it did seem to increase the sound a bit (which I lean towards being their primary function)...did not take it for a drive and will simply monitor if it has any effect on MPG as it is a new tank. Course, these are my opines and I am not an engineer.
