Default Ecoboost tuning...anyone developed any "glitches" afterwards?

Anyone else noticed any quirks or glitches with their trucks after tuning them with any of the available tuners on the market?

My truck has started to develope some quirks after about 500 miles of being tuned, even returning the stock tuning to the ECU does not resolve the issues.

Now it's time to go to the dealer and I can tell this isn't going to go well...

Anyone having weird issues with tuning that you have not been able to resolve?

(Yes I have been in contact with my tuner manufacturer and they are looking into it, and have been for a couple weeks)

Thanks for any info!

Mine barks the tires when I shift to second, I would think if the dealer found this out I would have another problem of getting the truck returned with an empty gas tank and more miles on it if/when I would drop it off.

1)The tranny is downshifting to 5th for no reason at freeway speeds and will never up shift to 6th unless I pull over and shut off/restart the truck. After that it is fine for a day or two. Putting it in manual mode will not allow it to do anything(aka manual mode is dead when this glitch occurs.

2) the speedo will stop reading as will the mpg screen at the same time the tranny downshifts to 5th. It will not start working again until I restart it. *(this happens 2-3 times a week)

3) occasionally the tranny will not shift out of 1st gear at all. I have to pull over and shut the truck off/restart it and then it shifts fine.

4) occasional freakishly hard up or down shifts to any gears--usually 3rd tho most often.

5)sometimes speedo and mpg screen will stop working until restarting it. (this time without the tranny down shifting)

The truck has been tuned for about 2500 miles (now 17.5k on the truck) and I started noticing these issues after about 500 miles. The last 600 miles or so has been with the stock tuning reinstalled and the quirks are still there. It had never done any of this for the first 15k miles I have owned it, it wasn't until after tuning it that this stuff began.

I love driving it with the custom tunes installed as it runs strong but I can't live with these quirks...it's unsafe...especially if my wife is driving it alone.

It's going to the dealer thurs but I doubt they will be able to replicate t. Hopefully the codes are there. I think I have corrupted the ecu somehow...

I hope this gets resolved... I'd hate to not be able to run my 93 oct tune....and has even more that it does this stuff on the stock tune..

One guy couldn't acclerate past 20 mph once he tuned it....but then came to found out he accidentely set the governor to 20 while checking out the settings in the tuner. lol

Another customer had an issue where for some reason, everytime he turned off his 11 EB and pulled the keys out, the truck will stay running for 2-4 seconds and then quit. He said it was the tuner that caused it but even after going back to stock, still happenend so not sure what the cause was and he never got back to me on what the cause was if he had it checked out.

That's the only two issues that have come up post sale out of LOTS of tuners sold this year on the boards here.

Hmmm... Go to ur dealer and tell him what is happening.... Just ask him If he has a second and let's try a reflash with the latest update and go
From there. At this point, dealers are havin so many problems with the programs they are more willing to do a re-flash then ever before.

I had a similar issue on an isuzu rodeo I had, turned out my wiring for my tow package had come lose under the hood and was causing a short.

I don't think its the tunes issue. I'm willing to bet a glitch with the trans, either internal or I'm the harness.

I would also wonder if it was an issue not related to the tune and some other kind of wiring... frustrating nontheless.
