Ecoboost silencer ring removal

When air is split in a passage into 2 or more tubes with 90 degree plus bends noise happens. With them it doesnt happen an the spill turbulence noise from the turbos spinning up to efficient opperation speed doesn't happen. Noise isn't a good thing. It's your OP dicision. Some like the turbulent noise.

Just pulled mine out yesterday - super easy and yes it makes them louder. I'm not talking "wow I've got me a turbo diesel!" but a touch louder.
And if you think you're losing mpgs with this you're insane. It's all for epa noise pollution. If it wasn't, I don't think in 2014 ford would have suddenly found the way to create one mpg from ****ty plastic pieces in an intake tube.
Take em out and enjoy the cute little snails we have.

I thought in that other thread they were designed to help pre spool the air going into the turbo?

which thread? I doubt it... its just changing the phase of the air hitting the turbos... heck even the intake pipes for both banks aren't even the same size and flatten horizontal at the ends.
