Default Yes had the same problem

I have had the same problem 4 times in 36k miles. Driving and truck acts like it ran out of gas but it still runs but only at about 800 rpm no matter how much you press the gas pedal. It also will only travel between 3 and 5 mph and the truck is shuddering from the low rpms and whatever the computer is telling the throttle body. Ford has yet to find out what is causing it and each time they apologize and give me my truck back un-fixed. This could kill someone if it happens at the wrong time. I have requested lemon law and buyback now. I spoke with my neighbor who bought his F150 because he like mine so much and he has had the same error and like me Ford could not find the cause. They are both F150's with 3.5 eco boost mine is a 2015 and his is a 2016. I posted a longer post looking for answers earlier today and just found yours withe the same prob and figured I would let you know you are not alone. On my dash it was flashing "Hill Descent control fault" and and service "Active Trac". On the last 2 times it happened I had the service manager hook up a computer BEFORE I ever tried to restart the truck and first time (3rd time overall) it showed a power steering fault come first and then a fault from the throttle body and the last time which was the 4th time it's happened it had an ABS fault, Steering fault and Throttle body fault.
Oh and to the person who said Ford told them throttle body that was what the said it was first time it happened and said it was a known bug with the 2015 F150's and they replaced it. It has happened 3 times since the new TB was on so pretty much figure that was bogus. As an addition the service manager in response to the latest shutdown said there is also a known issue with the wires connections under the passenger seat "chaffing" and via a short also causing these types of issues. I think that is blowing smoke at a bigger problem they are not admitting to but as I mentioned in my other post the Truck being able to shut down your rpm and speed to a point where you could get killed on a highway because of a chaffed seat wire, power steering error etc is something the ntsb should be looking at and get a recall going if this is wide spread.

You will want to unload this one and get out of the ecoboost world. I can't believe Ford still hasn't figured out how to make that thing work reliably. The 5L is no saint, BUT it doesn't have the same stupid design problems of the ecoboost.

Yep. I called Ford a couple days ago and started the Lemon Law buy back process. The GM at the dealer I bought it from had asked the Service manager if my truck was going to qualify and he told the GM 100% Now it comes down to getting a fair buyback price. 13k in Dealer additions to the truck plus the 100k miles of service prepaid, lojack, the works. Plus Tax and Licensing since I'll have to pay that again on anything that replaces the truck, right down to the DMV fees to have my custom plate transferred. Buit hey they brought this on me not the other way around.

Update. Ford dealership called earlier this week (6th) and told me that they have found that the throttle body is quote "completely gone" but they are now looking at the power steering error that preceded the throttle body error. They have not mentioned the ABS error that the service manager saw when he first ran the logs while I was watching. Remember that they replaced the throttle body at 18k the first time the truck stopped while driving. I guess maybe they should have listened since I had complained about lower gas mileage and the truck sometimes almost stalling before a surge of gas while turning or coming off a stop, only mentioned that EVERY 5k during service and when I had it in for other problems.
This truck also had the hood open to the safety catch 4 times while driving. It has a DSI 6" lift which also was installed improperly by putting washers above the lift blocks and not below which spaced the front lift bracket towards the torsion bar so every time I pulled a truck with a 6" lift out of my driveway (std residential) it would bottom out. They also mounted the Amp research running boards so the back hinge in the up position was cutting thru the brake lines to the rear of the truck. Truck still makes some suspension contact whenever I turn sharp right or left even at parking speed. Also had driver front strut go bad. They replaced it but then didn't align it and 2k later my frt driver tire is bald on inside and all 3 other tires are perfect with 1/2 tread life left. This caused the truck to shake so badly at freeway speeds that the driver seatbelt locked me in place and wouldn't release, keeping me so tight against the seat I couldn't move and i took video of the passenger seat bouncing back and forth like a diving board. When they replaced the strut they also rotated the tires so even though they said they didn't do anything to cause the wear I told them "then if 2k ago I had the same problem why isn't one of my rear tires that was on the front driver 2k ago showing the same problem? It's because the problem didn't start till the strut was replaced." They agreed to pay for the frt driver tire and for my alignment but still claimed it wasn't them. Also the Ford segmented Hard Tonneau was defective in that the hinges on the sections had rivets that didn't penetrate so the hinges just fell off. They replaced that too fortunately. Way too many problems for a truck with only 36k and unfortunately my first ford. Bad taste and no wonder they have such a bad rap.

As usual, Ford's service at it's best. I dropped off the truck on Aug 1st, they called once on August 6th to say the throttle body was shot, not another word since then 12 days later.

Day 22: Ford still has my truck. They called today 2nd time in 22 days and first time in last 16 days. They said they replaced the throttle body and that didn't fix it. Ford told them to replace the Engine Control Module and that didn't fix it. They are still unable to find the problem after 22 days but are still working on it and wanted to know if I wanted a loaner vehicle. I think Ford has 30 days to respond to the lemon law which is now only 9 days away. I assume that I will hear from Ford regarding the Lemon before they are able to determine why it's a lemon.
