Default Ecoboost shutdown while driving.

I bought my 2011 Ecoboost less then a month ago and its only got 1250kms on it. While driving this weekend it pretty much just shutdown on me, the engine was still idling but idling really rough. There was absolutly no throttle response and there was a big wrench on my LCD display. I was able to coast into a parking lot, then i turned the engine off. I turned the engine back on and it instantly revd up to 3000rpm then came back down, bouncing between 1000-750rpm (very rough idle) I had it towed to the dealership that night. I went back the next morning and it started fine. no rough idle, no spike in rpm but the check engine light is now on. Its in for service now and i hope they can find the problem. Has anyone else had any similar issues or any ideas as to what the problem might be??

I had my check engine light come on for a few minutes last Friday and again this AM, so I drove to the Dealer. They said they have no Idea why it was on. They just rest it.
I did not have any performance issues at all, truck runs fine.

Dang hope u get it taken care of. This is another reason I'm waiting on a new truck I want to wait and see what kind of issues arise if any.

This is the exact reason I just bought my screw with a 5.0. Those EB's are timebombs.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. My 5.0 will probably throw a rod on the way home now.

Had this happen on my 335i DI twin turbo. They replaced the fuel pump and low pressure fuel sensor. Not saying thats your problem but same symptoms and same technology. They'll fix it up and you'll be good as new!

Awesome. Sorry bub, can't tell you why it's on. Let's just reset it and cross the old fingers! ><

I don't buy the "just reset it" excuse. There is a reason it was set off and it needs to be found.

I was also thinking that this is the sencond thread about something wrong with the EB.
