In the air box or close to air box, it really doesn't matter. Same source of fresh air either way. If the stock PCV fresh air location didn't work well enough then there wouldn't be a need for a catch can in the first place. In this case "good enough" is all that is needed. UPR concept is fine.

How is there little to no vaccum at the airbox? There has to be as i had far too much oil on my sensor and 2 turbos are pulling from there vs one turbo where i put a t in. I now have no oil being drawn through the 1 foot hose. I must be missing something here haha.

The airbox is an open source for the engine and there is no focused air source for the Clean side line and any oil you see that comes through that line is developed when the engine is under boost and pushing air out of the engine. But during normal operating / driving that side is always drawing air in.

Picture mounting a vacuum in the in a box as large as the factory airbox and leaving one end open and then mounting a small vacuum line a few inches from the vacuum opening and set if it has any suction on the other end of the small vacuum line.

The only real reason it gets mounted at the airbox is because the air needs to be filtered and that is something this new solution the UPR Clean Side Catch Can accomplishes and offers a superior solution Versus a Traditional Clean Side Separator.

We have been working on a Clean Side Catch Can system to eliminate the airbox line and to be able to collect all the oil that exits the clean side during boost and also the clean side catch can is filtered so you are getting the freshest air possible.

I have this on over 50 trucks now in the last month and everyone that has installed one of these new systems loves them. It eliminates having to drill the airbox or any unneeded modifications.

Here is a link to the new system and also showing why the Clean Side Catch Can is the best choice and the oil or moisture that can be blow into the air box during boost.

Just wanted to share some information and better choices that are now available to give you the best options available.

Read all the way to the end of the post to be sure you can even see how the Clean Side Catch Can captured a lot of oil in less than one month. These new systems are available for all the 2011-2014 Ecoboost F150's...

Thanks Joe! All makes sense to me now as i am tuned so more boost means more oil too. So your new clean side, where do the 2 connections go to? Trying to figure out if it will work with my rx dual valve system

This system will work with the RX as it is a self contained system and does not depend on anything except the factory connection on the valve cover that RX blocks off on their kits.

The best benefit to this system is it does not get mounted on the oil filler neck and won't interfere with your engine cover or oil changes.
