Ecoboost replacement engine ??s

Yes this was the dealer price, did get more off the price to just over 11K. With the dealer taking care of it i'll at least get a 3 year warranty on the motor.

I get all of my parts from Oreilly but when I placed the order for the reman, their supplier had just sold the last engine they had ready to sell. I didn't have 4-6 wks so ordered a service engine from a local Ford dealership, PN BL3Z-6006-CARM, incase anyone is in the same predicament as I was. Install and initial startup went fine BUT i'm having some sort of transmission issue. I run the shifter through PRNDM12 and the engine RPMs flare but the truck never moves. It's a problem I've never experienced. Any input appreciated

My '11 3.5eco threw a rod back in May 2017.
68K miles.
Bone stock.
All oil changes/maint performed by dealership.
Dealer wanted $12k for a new long block.
Opened a claim with Ford.
Turned over all maint records (pulled from dealer).
Ford came back and covered part of the replacement - I paid just over $5k.
Service team claimed was a lot of sludge - never showed me, and I should have demanded...but lesson learned.
Used to rely on IOLM - now planning 5K with spot checks on Oil quality.
Traded it -considered a reasonable deal- when it was all fixed...I drink to forget...

My 14 popped and for some reason I thought I could make a 2012 engine fit so I bought a used one, found out it's more trouble than what it was worth so I sold the engine and bought a new long block from ford, still upset over the parts and labor.

I've had my ecoboost back now for a few weeks with a reman block and all new components, paid $11.9k. During that time I posted on Fords social media about the issue I had. They got back to me and opened a claim on my truck. After all the back and forth with Ford and the dealer I did get a check back from the dealer today for $6k. My suggestion is contact Ford or use their social media to get their attention so they can open a claim to get some money back after the expensive bill. Good luck all.

Sublime how is your reman motor going for you? Any complaints? Just took my 11 in for the timing chain TSB and they found metal shavings so they are going to have the motor replaced (luckily I bought a warranty when I bought the truck last April)

I have about 4,000 miles on the reman motor and everything been running great. The only difference has been my MPG, running the same route as before and I'm 1 MPG lower than the previous motor.
