I wonder if it would be best to keep the stock muffler. Loose the resonator and increase that section of pipe up to 3 inchs....just thinking out loud

Well made it back to the track today. This was my best pass. This was on the Livernois 93 v2 performance tune. The truck was very consistent. There was quite a bit of a head wind. But I very happy with the way the truck runs. The truck is stock besides he tune. 12 eb screw 3.73.

You picked up .5 seconds and 1.5 mph going from a 5 Star 93 tune to the Livernois 93v2 tune. Were the conditions or track better, or was the gain all due to the tune?

I think a little of both. But there is a big difference in the tune. What I do understand is when I ran the 5 star my quickest pass was 14.2. All of my other passes were much slower then that. It seemed to run different each pass. With the Livernois tune, it was very consistent - within a tenth each pass.

I had the same thing happen with the MPT race tune. 1st pass 13.75, 2nd 14.18, 3rd 14.40. Switched to SCT canned tune and 3 back to back passes 13.83's. Not sure about the inconsistent times with custom tunes. Anyone?

Yea it is really weird. When it happened to me 1st pass 14.78, 2nd 14.77, 3rd, 14.23. Never did try switching to the canned tunes. It almost seemed like the truck was running like stock. After each run I check and the custom tune was loaded. On my 3rd run I could feel a big difference. The LMS tune was on every time.
