It will slow you down a little as far mph but will net you a quicker time, unless your gonna get drag radials, and no on your truck you can shift out under a load, only the auto systems will shift out under a load but some will argue that it still won't but I know it will because I had one in my 12 and there quite a few more that have been trying it too and it's working.

That's not true. If you think your transmission is shifting from 4 to 2wd under load (pinning it in 1/4mile) your high buddy. The indicator will say 2wd but it won't shift under load. Trust me. You my friend, are wrong.

Not trying to start a fight, but my truck (5.0) would shift out with the stock tune. As soon as I tuned it that stopped. The reason I believe this happened is because in the stock tune the throttle plate would close between shifts enough to create a vacuum to pull the hubs out but once tuned this no longer occurred.

I do agree, using 4wd will lower your trap speed (MPH, by about 2mph in my case) but will also lower (improve) you ET in the 1/4 because you 60' is so much improved on a stock like tire.

I will also add that if you feel the need to argue this please use the search function first. If that doesn't suit your fancy then please, start a new thread about it, not let's not congest this one too much.

Possibly the tune is opening up the throttle body more and keeping it open + the shift point.
