I've had this same pop numerous times, not saying its normal but I also had in my 12 all the time. I've done 100's of boost launches between the 2 trucks and no permanent damage, I don't do it near as much in my 13. I've read of a lot of people having this same issue too.

Yeah maybe it hadn't disengaged yet... I wouldn't do it again... ever! For those of you who say "you have to pay to play" enjoy your downtime while it's in the shop, and enjoy the draining of your checking account, I'm not some broke teenager as i make 6 figures...its just not worth the trouble. I see some good times from 2wd trucks on this list and personally feel like it pulls harder up top in 2wd. These SSinc tunes give enough rush without 4x4 boost launching.

It was solid enough that it felt like an axle breaking. I thought thats what it was. I have read about the slight pop between gears or downshifting or going from forward to reverse. But this was a long ways from a slight pop and it was in the middle of the gear. How solid were the pops you experienced? I would say mine felt like someone hitting the bottom side of my floorboard with a good sized hammer.

I've had both IWEs replaced and a half shaft. It's all good now but the 4x4 system on my truck wouldn't hold up to boost launching with all the power and torque the SSi tunes put out.

Exactly same here I thought I really broke something every time, I figured if its gonna break I'll get it fixed, I thought it was just my 12 that had the problems but the 13 does too, so that's why I usually only boost launch if its a race I need it or at the track, by the way it never done it at the track.

Damn, yeah I agree with the SSI tune having too much power and that's why in the new truck I don't do it all the time anymore, every morning I would have to push the truck til it geared out and boost launch at least once. Now I don't hardly do either. Maybe I'm just growing up. Lol
